8 Essential Conditions for Imitating the Qur’an:
It must be in the Arabic language.
It must be an imitation of a particular surah.
It must be on par with that surah in linguistic style.
In proportion to the total number of words in that Surah, the level of linguistic novelty must be even greater.
It must convey meaning and be eloquent.
It must constitute a new literary genre.
It must represent a new form of the Arabic language.
It must be accepted and appreciated by Arab Speakers.
